dinner run

Last night the samurai and I burned a lap on my back yard ski run and he has all the high tech gadgetry to document the trip. Nearly 2000 vertical from door to door. The snow was as good as I have seen it.

My next run will be to ski home from work via the red butte towers along the ridge and drop into freeze creek to my house.
50's in dixie this weekend. Powder one day, red dirt the next.

Do you use one pair of skis for all your adventures or do you own skate, classical and backcountry styles? I'm looking to buy some and am leaning towards classical xc.

all types of skis. skate, AT, alpine, tele. If you are looking for a good work out and want to learn the technique on a groomed track then skate is the way to go but if you want to be able to ski about anywhere then a pair of no-wax classical XC is the way to go.

If you had small feet like me you could try out some of my skate stuff.

Bart, Can't find your email, shoot me at tschouten@gmail.com

Thanks for beating me at Nats, it's always nice to get beaten by someone I never race!
Cheers
